The second half of the BIG3 season gets underway Sunday on Paramount+, and the first half provided unprecedented parity for the 3-on-3 league. In fact, all 12 teams have between one and three wins so far. The Week 5 BIG3 schedule doesn't feature any games where two teams with winning records go head-to-head, but it also doesn't have any matchups featuring two teams with losing records facing off. The headline matchup will see defending champion Trilogy (2-2) taking on the team atop the BIG3 standings, Tri-State (3-1). You can stream Sunday's action on Paramount+.

Other games include the 3 Headed Monsters (3-1), who are led by the league's top scorer, Kevin Murphy, vs. the Triplets (2-2), and Aliens (2-2) going for their third straight win as they take on the Ball Hogs (1-3). The Week 5 BIG3 contests will tip off at 3 p.m. ET from Comerica Center in Frisco, Texas. You can watch Sunday's BIG3 basketball action on CBS and stream it live on Paramount+ with the must-have Premium plan.

BIG3 predictions, picks for Sunday, July 17

Before tuning into Sunday's BIG3 action, you need to see the BIG3 basketball picks from SportsLine expert Ameer Tyree. Tyree joined SportsLine after working as an NBA Fantasy sports and betting specialist at DraftKings and has a history of profitable basketball plays that help bettors find edges.

For Sunday's BIG3 action, Tyree is backing Power (2-2) to secure the victory over Bivouac (1-3). This game will be a matchup of contrasting styles since one team is among the league's best defensive units, while the other has struggled immensely in keeping opponents off the scoreboard.

Power has an MVP candidate in Glen Rice Jr., who fills up the box score on a weekly basis, but the team's biggest strength is its defense. The team has given up just 168 points, which is the second-fewest in the league and just one more than Tri-State, which sits atop 2022 BIG3 standings. Bivouac has allowed 199 points, which is the second-most in the league and just one fewer than 3's Company.

Bivouac's only victory came against a Triplets team missing two-time BIG3 MVP Joe Johnson last week, but the team won't be as fortunate this week facing another without its best player. Rice Jr. will be ready to further boost his MVP candidacy, and Tyree confidently backs his Power team to move to 3-2.

"Bivouac has Gerald Green, but I think his efforts will fall short against the BIG3's second-best scoring defense," Tyree told SportsLine. "Power should come out on top to follow up its latest double-digit victory." Stream the game on Paramount+.
